With this project, my goal was to first build a mangonel style catapult with different household materials and analyze the projectiles distance data. Then compare this data with virtual projectile shots with the programming software “Scratch”. When comparing the two tables below, it is clear that I was able to recreate the mangonel projectile launch on Scratch and obtained some very similar results to my experimental data.
